Using play and creative arts therapies to help children unlock their potential.
Jessica Houghton is an Accredited Play Therapist and Licensed Practioner in parent-child attachment play (PCAP) based on the Worcestershire / Gloucestershire border offering her services across primary schools in the surrounding areas.
With over fifteen years’ experience working with children as a Childline counsellor, primary school teacher and more recently as a play therapist, she has seen how important it is to support children’s mental health from a young age. Play therapy is a gentle, effective and proven intervention that can help children with a range of emotional and behavioural needs. Jessica has a deep commitment to helping children overcome and manage their difficulties so that they can flourish and succeed.
Jessica understands the huge value in working alongside parents and offers support in a non judgmental environment. Her PCAP sessions provide a unique way of delivering this, using a relational approach based on the latest academic and scientific research on child development and attachment in order to help strengthen parent child relationships and improve the quality of family life.
